Problems are only risks that went un-detected. They may lose you a contract, they may kill off your business.
Understanding and applying risk management should be a primary goal of everyone. Each individual can see, understand, and forecast things that are invisible to others.
A pragmatic approach to identifying, analysing, quantifying and managing risks and opportunities by Peter Leeson, Culture and Transformation Consultant.
This practical and pragmatic approach to risk management is of interest to everyone in the organisation. There are risks to your job, to your project, your budget, your sales, your future, your business, your team members etc. Different people will be encouraged to identify different levels of risks, whether they are in their area of authority or not.
Peter Leeson has a long-standing reputation of improving the sustainability and efficiency of organisations through a pragmatic approach combining process, metrics, education, principles and standards, and (most importantly) the culture of the team members.
Everybody’s job should include a daily focus on identifying risks and opportunities and knowing how to communicate them to the right people, those who are accountable for the result. If anyone in your organisation has ever said “I knew months ago that would happen, why didn’t they do something?” you know that your approach to risk management has failed.
