This conference will be a wonderful, valuable and fresh opportunity for the tech community (leaders, owners, managers, and senior specialists) to meet after the pandemic and to discuss a very important and strategic topic – Quality.
This discussion will be followed by a nice and cozy evening and friendly talks over a glass of wine or beer, with the IT community members in Cluj-Napoca.

Everyone likes to talk about quality; most people like to complain when it is missing, and few actively seek to define, design, and develop quality in a quantitative manner. There are many components that lead to quality satisfaction but they need to be structured in order to have the proposed effect.
Can I improve quality by implementing an ISO standard measuring my process maturity and auditing the review levels? Should we implement more metrics KPIs and OKRs? Is certification a guarantee?
In this session, Monica Chiș will shortly talk about how to Build a Quality Culture in Software Development. A strong quality culture for software development and quality-oriented teams are necessary for the creation and delivery of high-quality software products or applications.
Her presentation focuses on outlining some key points that may be applied to creating a culture of quality in the software development industry. The main key points are processes in every step of the software development lifecycle, knowledge management system and documentation, teamwork and collaboration, quality objectives, the review process, employer empowerment, and leadership commitment.
She will be followed by Peter Leeson, giving a brief talk on why Quality Is Not Standard and how you can improve the quality of your products and services through some simple actions.

The event will be filmed (partially) and photographed, and the resulting materials will be used for the production of promotional materials, presentation in the mass media and for the SPOR School archive. Participants agree to this.
The Record Business Park complex has a spacious underground parking lot with free access for cars.
Access to the parking lot is free and automatic, with an entrance from Onisifor Ghibu street no. 20, right next to the entrance of the Mega Image store. The barrier opens automatically and automatically registers the car’s registration number.
Participants are asked to park on floors 1,5 or 2,5 of the car park and use the lift which brings them to level ZERO, right at the entrance to the Stables.
The parking fee is 3 lei per hour and is paid at the machine located at the Record Business Park reception, BEFORE exiting the parking lot. Car owners enter their registration number into the machine and receive a link through a QR code, which directs them to the payment portal, where they must enter their bank card details. After paying for the parking, you receive a confirmation message and you can leave the parking lot.

With a half-century of experience in IT and other knowledge-based industries, Peter Leeson is a frequent visitor to Transylvania and a big supporter of our local talent base. His focus has always been on how to improve quality and the continual improvement of work practices.
In that capacity, he has worked in both large and small organizations around the world and has helped many local and international organizations improve their culture to motivate team members to deliver always higher levels of quality.
Key believes in the organizational culture and works on identifying and correcting any structures processes or activities that impact the staff’s effectiveness. Peter is a Certified Quality Professional and a leading member of the Deming Alliance or consultant instructor and coach, a former auditor, and a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences both in Romania and elsewhere.
She is a Freelancer IT Software Consultant and Trainer. She has over 23 years of experience in various roles in the IT industry, scientific research and academia, and in recent years has specialized in external audits of software projects and optimization of development processes.
She is a graduate of Babeş-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. She is a customer-oriented specialist, has worked in competitive and multicultural IT environments, is passionate about software product quality assurance and promotes the Agile methodology, in particular the SCRUM framework.
She has experience in software development process audits and software product development quality management, and developed strategies to highlight important key points for software development processes.
